The PINTOW Chassis system is an award winning hitch cart design which is truly multi-functional. The chassis unit is fabricated from strong and light channel section steel onto which is bolted your choice of axle, shafts or a pole.  The 13” wheels give a low center of gravity for stability and easy loading height. Shown here is a chassis with braked axle - the brakes are operated by the foot bar running across the chassis, accessible from any position on the bench seat and a ratchet parking brake [ which is also a driving brake when the platform is in use ] is fitted to the top cross member of the chassis. The special high-tensile steel tube shafts are fully adjustable for different heights of horse, and can be supplied with both draught horse style back chain staples and crooks or with a swingle tree and tug-stops for driving harness.

A bench seat and foot platform fit onto two carrying posts above the chassis axle to make a basic hitch cart supplied with a jaw hitch. A combined ball and pin hitch is available as an alternative. In this configuration, the PINTOW is an invaluable exercise cart, training vehicle and hitch cart which can pull a wide range of harrows, rollers, trailers etc. and also any of the large range of trailed equipment such as fertilizer spinners and pasture toppers made for use with ATV’s and compact tractors.

The bench seat assembly can be lifted off the chassis and a tipping platform put in its place - a simple operation without the need of any tools. The 5 foot square platform can be supplied with hinged sides and tail gate making a very handy cart with a steep angle of tip for easy and clean discharge of the load. A platform extension, wire rope and winch can be fitted so that big round hay or straw bales can be transported on the platform.

The PINTOW Chassis System is a versatile and economic design because all its components are available separately. For example to begin with you can buy the hitch cart with a bench seat and shafts and add later the cart body or the pole assembly for a pair.

 Various other accessories are available, such as mudguards and a fully padded seat.
