PINTOW Draught Springs

These draught springs are fitted in the traces to act as shock absorbers—they dramatically reduce sudden impact loads on the horse’s shoulders thus reducing potential damage to the horse and its harness. Developed primarily for work in timber extraction where there is always risk of hitting rocks, stumps and other obstacles, they are equally valuable in field cultivation work in all soils. Available in three grades, 200 kg load for forestry use, 150 kg for heavy farm duties and 100 kg for cart and wagon work, the springs weigh 1 kg each. Many users have found them of benefit in training horses to pull steadily, and will help to avoid shoulder sores and the risk of jibbing. Highly recommended.
